NIHR Research Design Service West Midlands
Description
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) funded Research Design Service West Midlands (RDS WM) is one of 10 regional services across England providing design and methodological support to health researchers who are developing research funding applications. RDS WM supports research teams to develop and submit high quality applied health and social care grant applications to NIHR and other national peer-reviewed funding programmes.
Public involvement in research
We offer:
- Advice and support on patient and public involvement (PPI) and how to plan, put into practice and resource involvement activities in funding applications
- Signposting to relevant online information and resources
- PPI bursaries of up to £500 per project to facilitate involvement in the development of the funding application
- Information on relevant groups and networks locally and regionally who may be interested in collaborating with researchers
- Organise networking events to promote PPI and share best practice
